Sebastian's First Blog

We got out our reading journals and wrote down our homework for the rest of the week. Which was iReady or reading for 20 min. After that, we wrote that down we started reading. After that, we got out our English notebooks. Then, we wrote down the week 5 grammar, quote, question, and song. The grammar was sentence study which is basically studying the structure of a complete sentence and sentence fragments. Our quote for the week was, "Once you learn to read, you will forever be free." - Frederick Douglass. Then we discussed what he was saying. He was basically saying that this is a kind of freedom because you can think for yourself once you learn to read and read a lot. The question was what is your history as a reader? You write about your history with reading in 4 sentences. After that, we opened our A.C.E. strategy notes. We reviewed them then we answered A.C.E. prompts about School Trip. Then we packed up and got out of there.
