Jessan's First Blog

Agenda: take a minute/blog/correction/week 3 quiz/ RJ. Kevin read his blog to the class. Then, we talked about what happened in School Trip.  Next, we took out our Chromebooks and started working on the week 3 quiz. After that, if you were done with the quiz, you would do the Iready Diagnostic. Ms. Nakada was grading the Reading Journals. Last, we packed up all of our stuff and left class.

 Agenda: Take a min/blog/corrections readers workshop/RJ Boy Diagnostic. Today, Ms. Nakada checked people's reading journals and graded them. Ms. Nakada then put on a video/song for everyone in the class can watch or listen to the video. The song was called "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" and it was made by Edith Piaf. The song was about living life without regret. Then, everyone took out their Chromebook to do the iReady Diagnostic. Before the bell rings, everyone packs up and get ready to leave the classroom.

Kaleiah's First Blog Agenda- take a min/blog/corrections, readers workshop/RJ The first thing we did was take a minute and did our blog corrections. After that, we put our planners away and Maria came up and read her blog. Then, we took out our School Trip books to read and do our homework if we didn't do it last night. After, we re-read the School Trip chapter from last night. Then, Ms. Nakada went over the homework and helped us with our homework. Then, Ms. Nakada asked a couple students what we learned about the book. After that we did our question.  Then Ms. Nakada dismissed us.

Then, Ms. Nakada graded binders and reading journals. We read and worked. Then, we went over School Trip and wrote a summary. Then, we basically started the quiz.

We took out our binder reminder and wrote down the agenda. Then, Zoe read yesterdays blog. We took out our reading journals and re-read pages 130-153. Ms. Nakada helped us and go over with our School Trip summaries. After that, we started to work on our writers workshop and worked on a new writing process project. Lastly, the class ended and we all went to the next period.

Get a seat. Take a minute. Get out our agendas. Emerson read his blog. We make corrections to Emerson's blog. Emerson chose a person to do the next blog. It's reading time. We all finish reading. Mrs. Nakada explains the chapter we read yesterday. She finishes explaining it. We do the summary for the chapter. Week 2: notes Question of the week  Question what do you think about school? Mrs. Nakada gives some time to answer. We say our answers, at least if any one wanted to. Lines "I was made for the library, not for the classroom. We wrote down a grammar, quote, questions and lines. Grammar:pronoun -take the place of a noun.  Quote ''To build community requires vigilant awareness of the work we must do to undermine all the socialization that leads us to perpetuate domination.'' bell hooks Finally, we took notes about the writing process. Then, we packed up.

AGENDA for Monday and Tuesday new seats - take a minute welcome course outline/syllabus first day letters SCHOOL TRIP HW: Course outlines signed, letters home RJ 1.1 School Trip p. 1 - 27 Welcome to our first class blog! Way back on Monday, the first day of school, my fifth period class came in at the end of lunch. They found their way into seats at tables around the room, and we were ready to get started.  The first thing we did was introduce ourselves. I introduced myself, and each student introduced themselves. Next, I passed out the course outline, and we talked about materials, grading, homework, and rules. Students signed their understanding, and we moved on to the course syllabus.  Each table did popcorn reading of the units we will study fall and spring semester.  The last paper I handed out was my first day letter.
